America, once so strong and brave

filled with people of all races

who came here looking for a home

and a place to raise their children

filled with longing and desire

for freedom from government oppression

and so it was for many years

the people and the nation grew

then greed and dishonesty took control

they forgot that all good things come from God above

so they turned each to his own way

like sheep that have been led astray

following after the masters of money

when it is all said and done

where will America be

a nation once so good and true

could it be that America is finally through
