It has been said that “youth is spent trying to accumulate wealth, and when it is acquired, wealth is spent trying to recapture youth”. How ironic, and sad, and sometimes true. Our lives are but a vapor, and they leave so fast.

What has your life been spent doing? Sadly as I look upon my own life, it has been spent just mostly trying to survive. I think that I am probably not in that boat alone. I fear I have had lots of company in the same boat. Although I have really tried to live each day fully in the present, and to love my life, I do realize that my life has been spent on an entirely different level than some. Each person has their own personal difficulties to overcome, but some seem to have pretty much been given a free ride.

As we get older, we tend to reflect back on our lives and we either appreciate the things in life that has made us who we are, or we sadly regret it. I do regret lost time and opportunities that I might have had if it were not for always having to just survive ; but I believe that the path has been laid out for each of us and if we just stay on course, we will eventually reach our destination.
